It’s a stamp with a train on it. What isn’t there to love?

This particular stamp is a favourite for three reasons.
1) It has a lovely shape that frames the boat perfectly.
2) The frank mark is in an almost perfect position.
3) This stamp was attached to an envelope that contained a cd from Clare Blackman – an ace singer from Essex. Check the Billy-O out of her, she has the most amazing voice.

There is something about the Snipe. it has this kind of mournful look.

A letter from The Netherlands but with stamps from Germany. Or rather the envelope had a Netherlands address printed on it.
What I really liked about this was the detail on the one below. The grain on the print. I like the little Deutsche Post frank as well. I’m a sucker for thing like that.

These have been sitting in my wallet for ages but the post mark says 2008 – they can’t have been in there that long?! Have a feeling a friend at work had these in her draw for me but forgot about them. I’m not a James Bond fan by any stretch of the imagination but I like the posters. I went passed Noel Coward’s house where Ian Flemming wrote one of the Bond books when I was at St.Margaret at Cliffe in the summer. It looked very nice place indeed.

From The Netherlands again. They were sent on an old work letter from ages ago that have been sitting in a jar waiting for me to sort through.

Not sure what it is about these. Is it the simplicity? The uniformity of them when next to one another? I like them anyway – the number ‘1’, the contour map like lines.
They came on an envelope from Eva Schreuder who makes lovely fabric covered badges.
